It’s great to see more and more custom wheels being offered to the sim racing community. Modern manufacturing processes and materials are allowing wheel builders to deliver features that just a few years ago would
only be available on the most expensive custom wheels. Heren we have an F1 wheel that has most features one would want in a new wheel. Magnetic shifters, a good mix of buttons and encoders dual clutches, although
without a bite point function. And and LCD screen. They also offer other custom wheels for purchase. The F1 wheel is very light at a bit over 2lbs. So it can be used on non DD wheels also with the proper mounting solution. The shifters worked well with good tactile feedback. There was no dramas using the clutch paddles but I do wish they had a way to set the bite point. And as you saw in the closer look segment the left clutch paddle has some movement in it’s 3D printed housing. The 3D printed hub performed well with no indication that it could not handle the high forces that some DD systems are able to achieve. I would like to see a better
implementation of how you connect the wheel side QR. It was a bit fiddly to get my Q1R mounted. Overall I like how the feature set you get on this wheel for the money. It needs a bit more attention to detail before they ship it out, to ensure no one else gets one with a loose clutch paddle housing. But something quite easy to fix I think. I would say you should give them a look if you are in the market for a custom wheel.
