First you need to keep this wheel in perspective. It is a real race car wheel made by XAP. If you saw the look inside segment you know that XAP uses Leo bodnar Electronics in it’s construction. And has been converted to use on a PC. Normally the wheels electronics would be setup to run Motec or Cosworth or something similar that would be used in the real car. Aside from this there is no difference between this wheel and the one used in a real Formula 2.0. So, it is targeted squarely at the commercial market. Made for race teams to use in their simulators, or maybe a driver who runs a sim in their home. What could be better that to be able to practice and train with the exact wheel that you use when you are actually racing. And this is reflected in the price. At around 3300.00 this wheel is not something that most of us sim racers would buy for our own use. And with basically only 4 buttons that are programable it is very limited in its versatility. So again not something most of us will be buying. But I have to say I always wanted to get a chance to use this wheel since the first time I saw it. And when driving with it you have a much clearer idea of what it feels like to be sitting in and driving a real Formula 2.0 car. And that is always a good thing in my book. I had a lot of fun using this wheel as I’m sure any sim racer would. I will miss it when it’s gone.
