It’s not very often that you find a piece of Sim Racing hardware that exceeds your expectations. Most of the time when you look at the price point of something, you manage your expectation level as far as build quality and performance that are normally delivered at that price point. But every once in a while you get a nice
surprise. And for me that’s exactly what the Aiologs shifter and handbrake did. Products that punch above their price point. With all stainless steel construction, they
have a heft and stiffness that give excellent tactile feedback to the driving experience. The sequential had a nice crisp feel to shifts. That give a pretty good sensation
of actually using a sequential gear box. The hand brake gives you a nice analog feel when pulling it. And was able to let me be consistent with the rear brake bite point when entering a turn. As you saw in the look inside segment, the internals are all top flight pieces of kit. From the use of shielded bearings on the main pivot shafts to the modular construction of the mechanicals, these units are built to last a very long time. Overall as you can probably tell from this review, I am very impressed with this shifter and hand brake, and would have them at the top of my list when looking for this type of hardware. Especially at the price of $160, each I don’t see how you can go wrong here.
