Final thoughts on the Ngasa Pro pedal set from the guys at 3DRap. Constructed mainly from stainless steel plate with 3D-printed parts used for spacers, electronics housings, and bumper duties. The fit of the these pedals is very good. However, the finish on the pedal edges was on the rough side with some sharp burrs found
in a few places. This is the second set of Ngasa pedals the 3DRap sent to me, after I asked them about the edge finishes condition. I was told that I had been sent a pre-production set of pedals by mistake. As I do not do reviews on pre-production items. But the second set also has some metal burrs left on the edges. So, not sure if you buy a set, what you will get. The brake pedal uses a load cell with a rated maximum foot pressure of 150 kg. Which should be enough for most sim racers, I think. I used 3D-printed bumpers made from what looks to be TPU filament. This does give me some concern as to the durability in the long term. But you can buy more of them on the website if you need some. I was able to get a setting that allowed me to brake well enough to mostly maintain my usual lap times. But I never got it dialed in well enough to allow me to feel the critical transition from threshold braking to trail braking. Of course someone else may not have that issue as we all feel things a bit differently. The throttle and clutch pedals have hall effect sensor setups in them, which should give long life cycles. I was able to control throttle pressure and modulation well but did yearn for a stiffer feel under foot. This pedal set has a good mass to them and the lighter than I liked throttle pressure made it feel lighter than I expected The clutch pedal has a cam profile to simulate your foot pushing through a pressure in the car’s clutch pack, but as with most of these designs the effect is neutralized under heavy heel and toe shifting. The pedal base that 3DRap offers for these pedals is also made from stainless steel plate. Once assembled, it does give you a nice, stiff platform to use your pedals on. I have used these pedals for a couple of weeks now and overall they do deliver what most sim racers would want in a racing pedal set. 3Drap does need to focus more on the metal plates finish to come up to par with other pedals sets in this price range. I do have some concerns about durability of the 3Dprinted parts used for elastomers in the brake pedal. So, far I see no obvious signs of wear, but only time will tell
